Richmond 300 has been an incredible endeavor and has certainly raised the bar for public engagement projects in the city. For the most part, it is a solid set of policies that should guide the city for the next several years. However, we believe that the city’s housing commitments in the plan can be strengthened and should incorporate the demands that affordable and public housing advocates and residents have been asking for for years. Richmond for All along with Partnership for Smarter Growth and Legal Aid Justice Center called on Richmond’s City Council to improve the affordable and public housing commitments in the Richmond 300 Plan.
